Dr. Destaings Nyenyi Nyongesa obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Maseno University

He is currently the Dean, School of Business and Economics in Maseno University and a Senior Lecturer of Economics.  In the past Destaings has worked in research, policy and consulting in UKAID and World Bank projects in the region. He sits on the Boards of several institutions.

His research interest has been in Microeconomics theory, Macroeconomic theory, and Econometrics and Economic Policy Analysis research. He has published in international journals and also has chapters in a number of books.
