Mr. Daniel Ochieng Ogola was appointed the Chairperson of the Competition Tribunal on 25^th September 2020.

He is the managing partner of the firm of Ogola Okello LLP based in Nairobi since 1998. He previously worked at firm of Kaplan & Stratton Advocates.

He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya of 25 years standing with wide and solid legal expertise and experience in Corporate, Commercial and Conveyancing practice. He is a Member of the East African Law Society, Law Society of Kenya, and the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya.

He has acted as legal advisor for several international companies, public institutions, leading commercial banks, housing co-operative societies, private organizations, non – governmental organizations and individuals. He has extensive experience in Commercial Corporate, Land law, joint venture projects, construction, building and housing developments and general legal advisory.

He sits in various boards of directors of several companies as well in various social bodies and societies.  He is the Honorary legal counsel to Kenya Freedom From Hunger Council, and also he is the current serving Chancellor of the Anglican Church of Kenya, Diocese of Bondo, as well as a Legal  Consultant with the World Bank group

He is a Commissioner for Oaths, and a Notary Public .

Mr. John Nderitu is the Secretary to the Competition Tribunal & an Economist/Economic Policy Analyst  in the National  Treasury.

He has vast experience in Competition Policy& Law and Competition case investigations and enforcement having worked at the Competition Authority of Kenya in various capacities including the African Consumer Protection Dialogue under the auspices of the Federal Trade Commission-U.S.A. He has guided the Tribunal to its full operationalization and the consequent development & gazettement of the Tribunal’s rules of procedure. He  is an Alternate Director -National Museums of Kenya.

He has represented Government in various forums including the African Continental Free Trade Area Negotiations under the African Union and was the Rapporteur of the Trade Remedies Technical Working Group in 2017/18, Tripartite Trade Negotiations under COMESA, EAC-SADCC Tripartite Negotiations including Rules of Origin, Trade Remedies and Custom Procedures. He represented the National Treasury in the 18^th Summit of the COMESA Council of Ministers and the 32^nd EAC Council of Ministers.

Mr. Nderitu has expertise and experience in donor funded projects where he has been involved in the Regional Integration Implementation program under the E.U,EAC  Regional Technical Committee that developed the EAC  Regional-One Stop Border Post Operational Manual under JICA and the implementation of the One Stop Border Post.

He has Solid understanding and experience in private sector development, business environment, credit guarantee schemes and improving SME’S competitiveness. He has   served as a manager in Windsor Trading Company.

He holds an MSC in Entrepreneurship from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture Science & Technology, Post Graduate Diploma in E.C. Competition Policy & Law- Kings College-University of London and BA (Economics and Business Studies) Kenyatta University.

A member of the Competition Appeals Tribunal since 19^th May 2019. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public and Patent Agent. Admitted to the Kenyan Bar in 2003. A graduate of the University of Nairobi where she attained a Bachelor of Laws (Upper Second) in 2001 and subsequently a Master of Laws degree in International Economic Law from the same University in 2016.

Has undergone Professional Training in Corporate Governance under the auspices of the Centre for Corporate Governance (2013); Arbitration under the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (2013); Oil and Gas Masterclass under the International Center for Energy and Ministry of Energy Kenya (2013); Patent Drafting and Prosecution under Kenya Industrial Property Institute (2014); Alternative Dispute Resolution under NCMG (2014) ; Negotiating, Financing and Resolving Disputes in Oil and Gas Transactions Under the International Center for Energy and Strathmore University (2014); Registration and Structuring of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS) under the auspices of the Kenya School of Law (2015); Public Private Partnerships Transactions under Kenya School of Law  and Fundamental Considerations of Oil and Gas Transactions under Strathmore University and ISLP  (2018).

She is currently the Managing Partner at the Law Firm of Kairu and McCourt Advocates.

He is an Advocate of High Court of Kenya with solid legal expertise and experience in conveyance and performed litigation in both criminal and civil cases. He has studied Economics.
